The sitour company was founded in 1965 in Innsbruck, Austria.
The name “sitour” stands for “signage in tourism” (panoramic maps, orientation systems, signage, standards and norms), which was the initial area of activity and remains a core focus to this day.

sitour has operated in the Czech Republic since 1992, with a dedicated office established in Prague in 1995. Since 2007, sitour Czech Republic has been a subsidiary of feratel media technologies AG. Today, the company has representation in 11 countries worldwide. Together with its subsidiaries, sitour delivers large-scale projects in orientation, electronic, telecommunications, and information systems—primarily in mountain resorts and tourist destinations.
